A Crowning Achievement.
The June 21-24, 2011 Conference is cutomized to address today's current trends in philanthropy while allowing you to network with peers and experts from around the globe.
The PSI Staff and Conference Planning Committee look forward to seeing each of you next week at the PSI Conference on Philanthropy and Leadership Symposium in Indianapolis. A few items to keep in mind as you plan your trip:
WEATHER: For the first time in many years, we do not expect outside temperatures to break 90 degrees! Despite the outside warmth, we always encourage attendees to pack a sweater or light jacket as the meeting rooms can be quite cool.
TRANSPORTATION: The JW Marriott is located at 10 South West Street in downtown Indianapolis. Transportation options to the hotel are:
·         IndyGo – Daily non-stop shuttle service between downtown Indianapolis hotels and the airport. Cost is $7 per person. For more information visit www.indygo.net
·         Taxi – the hotel is a short 20 minute taxi ride and costs about $40.
·         Car Rental – most major car rental companies have a rental counter at the airport.
·         Parking – 50% off overnight parking is available at the JW Marriott for all PSI attendees (current listed rate is $28 per day or $14 for attendees).
HANDOUTS: Presentation handouts are posted on our website. To print your copies please click http://www.philanthropicservice.com/article.php?id=45.  Additionally, a flash drive with handouts and presentations will be given to each attendee upon check in at the PSI reservation desk. Speakers who have requested their information not be shared in advance will bring handouts with them to the session.
OPENING RECEPTION: Don’t forget to pack your jerseys, baseball caps, foam fingers, and face paint (or at least team colors)! The individual selected as having the most team spirit will receive an iShuffle! Opening reception will be held on the third floor, overlooking the minor league baseball stadium on Tuesday, June 21, from 7:00 – 9:00 pm. Light refreshments will be served.
·         Golf Outing: Don’t forget to sign-up at the registration desk for our golf outing! We still have several spots available for those wishing to join us Thursday evening at The Brickyard Crossing Golf Course. Twilight rates are $55 and clubs can be rented for a discounted rate of $20. Tee times begin at 6:30 and transportation will be made available to those that need it.
·         CFRE Review: A sign-up sheet will be available at the registration desk to reserve your spot at the Thursday evening CFRE review course presented by Dr. Lilya Wagner.
·         Other options: Enjoy one of the hundreds of dining options in downtown Indianapolis, do some shopping at the Circle Centre Mall (accessible by climate controlled sky bridges), or visit the attractions at the White River State Park located just steps from the JW Marriott.
DRESS CODE: Dress code during the conference is business casual. Business attire is request at the banquet.
MEALS: With the exception of Wednesday evening and Thursday morning, you are on your own. The hotel has a list of nearby and onsite restaurants including vegetarian and vegan-friendly options.
FREE DRAWING: Cascade Data Solutions is giving away a FREE $1,600 copy of their Donation Director fundraising software. You can enter the drawing online atwww.donationdirector.com/psi. This website is listed on signage displayed throughout the conference and in an advertisement in your program.
